DEBBY ASH | Founder/Executive Director/Choreographer
Debby is co-owner of Forever After Productions and works as a Producer and Choreographer for the company. Debby has choreographed a number of shows including Seussical, Peter Pan, Aladdin Jr., Beauty & The Beast, Annie, Les Miserables, Willie Wonka Jr., West Side Story, Mulan Jr., Singing In The Rain, My Son Pinocchio, Hairspray, The Wizard of Oz, Little Women, Grease, Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Peter Pan Jr., Oliver, A Christmas Carol, Shrek and recently Fiddler On The Roof and Mary Poppins. Debby owns and operates Dance BEAT Performing Arts Center in Plymouth where she directs and instructs recreational and competitive dance programs and is an award winning choreographer. Debby has worked as a professional instructor/choreographer and local business owner for over 25 years and resides with her husband and three of four children in Canton.
KYLE KAUFMANN | Founder/Executive Director
Kyle is Co-Owner, Producer and Technical Director at Forever After Productions. Kyle also works as the Technical Director at the Birmingham Campus of Kensington Church. He is a Lighting & Scenic Design Free Lancer in the Metro Detroit area. Kyle has extensive experience is stagecraft specializing in lighting and set design. Kyle resides with his wife Allison In Madison Heights, MI.
SHIRLEY AUTY | Office Administrator
You will find Shirley in our PARC rehearsal studio assisting customers with program registration, ticket sales and quality customer service. She has a background in Accounting and Office Management. Originally from the United Kingdom, Shirley has also worked with our students at Forever After Productions as the British dialect coach for a number of productions - Peter Pan Jr, Mary Poppins, and Beauty and the Beast. She also enjoys being on the stage and has been in all five years of A Christmas Carol and loved playing the Blind Old Hag this past Christmas! Shirley currently resides in Canton with her husband, Andrew and two children.
SARAH CHAPMAN | Director/Theater Class Instructor
Sarah has been our Theater Class Instructor for the past four years. She has directed junior stage shows including ~ Annie Jr, Elf Jr and will direct Mary Poppins Jr to be performed in March 2018. Sarah has an extensive background in dance, theater & performance. Sarah is a graduate of Wayne State University and is currently working toward her masters degree. Sarah's expertise is in improving performance qualities and encouraging her students to become comfortable on stage. She has performed in many Forever After Productions shows - you will see her as Sally Anderson in this years A Christmas Carol.
MARY ANNE MARTIN | Music Director
Mary Anne Martin is a retired vocal music teacher who taught for many years in the Plymouth/Canton Elementary and Middle schools. She has loved playing the role of Mrs Fezziwig in Forever After's Productions annual performance of A Christmas Carol since 2011. Her greatest joy are her seven grandchildren, including triplets (!) and loves to spend time with them all. She resides in Ann Arbor with her husband, Denny
STEVEN OLSEN | Harmony Singers Artistic Director
Steve will be taking on the role of Choral and Artistic Director for Harmony Singers, our Adult Community Chorus. Steve holds a degree in Music Education from Houghton College in New York and a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting from Georgia State University. He has spent his career as a Music Teacher, Vocal Instructor and Choral Director for local K-12 school districts, Dearborn Community Choir and Blue Lake Fine Arts. Steve has held Choral Directing roles at local churches and worked with local community and school theater companies as a Music Director. Steve’s love of theater has had a great influence on his life and career choices.
WENDY SIELAFF | Director
Wendy has enjoyed directing for almost 30 years. She is currently the drama director at South Lyon East High School, where two of her students in her last production, Little Mermaid were nominated for the Sutton Foster Ovation Award. Wendy has directed well over 50 plays and musicals and she has worked for such companies as Ann Arbor Civic Theater, Saline Area Players, Saline High School, Spot Light Players and many others. She enjoys teaching actors, the basic acting skills, theater etiquette, and character-based technique. She earned her theater degree at Oakland University and has studied directing and acting approaches with various professors and seminars. Besides directing Wendy has spent a lot of time on stage performing different roles some of her favorite are Dolly Levi in Funny Girl , Aunt Eller in Oklahoma, and Grandma in The Addams Family. Wendy also is proficient in producing and stage managing. Whether there is a large cast, or a small cast, Wendy enjoys the process of directing from beginning to end.
TYLER DEAN | Director/Theater Class Instructor
Tyler has been with Forever After Productions from the beginning. He began as a student then became a Director and Acting Instructor. His first show he directed was "My Son Pinocchio" and most recently "Big Fish" Tyler has graduated from The University of Michigan with a BFA Degree in acting and has put on his original shows at U of M's Basement Arts to Off Broadway. Tyler has received many prestigious awards and his current project as a writer is a children's novel. Here are a few of his accomplishments: 2012 Hopwood Award for Drama for his original musical Zombie Farm, 2014 Hopwood Award for Drama for his original Musical Sea Legs, 2013 Kennedy Center National Undergraduate Playwriting Award and Arthur Miller Award for his original play From Such Great Heights, 2012 Dennis McIntyre Prize for Undergraduate Playwriting, 2014 Naomi Saferstein Literary Award, 2014 The Donald and Dorothy Frantz Award
ELIZABETH ASH | Choreographer
Elizabeth is a trained dancer in multiple disciplines with a strong background in theater and performance. Elizabeth recently studied Dance at Eastern Michigan University and has trained during her competitive dance career with leading professional choreographers including professional artist DJ Smart. Elizabeth has additional experience teaching Theater and Dance Camps. Elizabeth was casted as a lead dancer locally in: A Christmas Carol (5 Annual Productions 2012 - 2016), Bring It On (2016), Chicago (2013), Les Miserables (2013), Tarzan (2013), Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2012), Footloose (2012), Grease (2012), Cinderella (2011), Little Women (2011), Wizard of Oz (2011), Camp Rock (2011). Elizabeth is currently a choreographer and instructor at Dance BEAT where she leads a competitive youth team and is Choreographing Annie Jr for Forever After Productions.
SAMANTHA JO FILECCIA | Choreographer
Samantha has been dancing for nineteen years. She is an instructor at Dance BEAT where she teaches ages 3 - Adult and choreographs award winning competitive routines. Samantha has previously choreographed "Little Shop of Horrors" for Forever After Productions and was Assistant Choreographer on Peter Pan Jr. Samantha spends her free time with her beautiful new baby Paisley.
STUART SELEWSKI | Technical Director
Stuart has been a volunteer with Forever After for 8 years and has been involved in more than 35 productions. Stuart enjoys all technical aspects of working in the theatre, especially building sets and working on stage during shows. He is grateful for the many friends he has made due to his involvement through the years. In his free time, he enjoys camping with his family and picking on Kyle Kaufmann. A special thanks to his wife who, “holds down the fort” while he volunteers. Stuart would like to thank everyone attending the show for coming out to give their support and encouragement to all the hard working and talented kids and young adults in the show.
